(toskanews) – Tourists have (re)queued to visit the Louvre, which has reopened its doors, a few days after the spectacular theft of eight French crown jewels. After three days of closure, including the weekly rest Tuesday, the most visited museum in the world can once again be visited by tourists.

The director of the Louvre, silent since Sunday, is expected to speak before French parliamentarians to explain how thieves managed to steal the crown jewels from the Paris museum, at an estimated cost of 88 million euros. Behind the scenes, investigations continue in an attempt to capture the four thieves and their incredible loot, committed in the prestigious Apollo Gallery.
