“I will present myself again if the clubs want,” said Tebas, who has been in charge since 2013, in the National Congress of United Hobbies Soccer Clubs which is celebrated this weekend with the Fútbol Club Cartagena and its Federation of Supporters Clubs acting as hosts.

Regarding the measures against racism and xenophobia in the football field, the president of LaLiga stated: “We have been fighting racism for a long time and we will apply some more measures in addition to those of communication and cosmetics after a difficult season in this regard with the Vinicius case“.

Javier Tebas, on the other hand, was “satisfied and happy with the new LaLiga logo and the motto ‘The strength of our football'”.

Present at the inauguration in the El Batel Auditorium, in addition to Tebas, were the president of the Cartagena club, Francisco Belmonte; the mayoress of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo; the president of United Hobbies, Jorge Guerrero; and that of the Federation of Clubs of FC Cartagena (FPFCCT), Miguel Ángel Muñoz.

From the congress, in which more than a thousand supporters of the country’s soccer teams participate, the top leader of LaLiga remarked that “it is an important event and the culmination of the season” and recalled that “the fans are a very important part of our football”.
