In the 58th game for Eintracht Frankfurt, Arthur Theate celebrated his first goal. In the 4:3 draw at 1. Theate, who is one of two professionals in the SGE squad who have not missed a minute this Bundesliga season, has been playing for the Hessians since 2024 and is contractually bound until 2029. If the Belgian has his way, he will stay at the club for a long time.
“Many players come to Frankfurt to take a step and then leave again. That’s not how I think about Eintracht. I’ve never loved a club as much as I love Eintracht. Everything fits me here: team, fans, infrastructure. You never know what will happen. But I want to stay with this club. And I hope that we can take even more steps together here,” was Theate’s declaration of love for Frankfurt after the second win in a row.
In the same breath, he revealed that this is why he “blocked out everything that came from other clubs” in the summer. Therefore, there were no concrete rumors about the 31-time Belgian international, only loose speculation about Atlético Madrid and Al-Nassr FC. Theate initially came to SGE on loan last year, and after six months, Eintracht signed the defender permanently for 13 million euros. Bonuses could increase the sum to up to 19 million euros, making him by far the most expensive defender in the club’s history.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s Amenda is apparently on the list again at FC Turin
While Theate sees herself at the club for a long time, Aurèle Amenda could say goodbye in the winter. According to “Sky Sport CH”, the central defender, who has only played 237 minutes so far, is being courted by FC Turin again. Accordingly, the Swiss and Eintracht Frankfurt are also open to a change. There are currently four central defenders in coach Dino Toppmöller’s squad, and Rasmus Kristensen and Noah Fenyö can also help out there.

The transfer fee for Amenda was around 11 million euros in the summer.
