Reynhard Sinaga, who also raped Daniel, has been sentenced to at least 40 years in prison for his crimes. He was convicted of a total of 159 crimes against 48 victims. Sinaga raped and committed other sexual crimes in Manchester, Great Britain, where he was caught in 2017.

Daniel, like other victims, had completely lost his memory during Sinaga’s treatment. The authorities believe that Sinagan drugged them with gamma, or GHB. According to the police, it would also explain how Sinagan, who has a thin body structure, succeeded in his crimes.

Daniel did not file a criminal complaint about the incident. How could he, he points out in the documentary. He didn’t remember anything when he woke up fully dressed at Sinagan’s place the day after his birthday party. The last memory was when he had been waiting with the others for a taxi home. A bathroom emergency had struck, and Daniel had moved to a nearby alley. Sinaga, who had been watching the situation from that window, had escorted him to his own, nearby apartment.

Daniel only found out about the night’s events from the police. The authorities had tracked him down based on footage found at Sinagan. The serial rapist had immortalized his crime with pictures and videos. Material was found, among other things, on mobile phones.

– I looked dead, Daniel recalls in the documentary.
