The toys collected during the Trabzonspor – Basel match reached the earthquake victims! TS sports news

The Trabzonspor-Basel match played last night in the first match of the UEFA Conference League Play-Off turned into an aid campaign for earthquake victims. At the call of Trabzonspor fans, toys were gathered before the match to put a smile on the faces of the children affected by the disaster and to heal the wounds of the earthquake. The fans, who queued up at the stand set up in front of the stadium, brought with them various toys that boys and girls of all ages could play and that do not evoke violence and handed them over to the volunteers. The truck, which was loaded with various toys and snacks brought by the fans, who avoided objects and toys such as trucks, scoops, graders, guns that could remind the trauma of the earthquake, set out to put a smile on the faces of the children. The truck full of toys, carrying a banner with the photo of the martyr Eren Bülbül and the words “From Eren to his brothers, get well soon Turkey”, moved towards Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquake.

“WE WILL REACH KAHRAMANMARAS AND ITS VILLAGES”

Haşim Çavdaroğlu, who started the toy collection campaign and embraced its transportation to the region, said that the campaign they started 2 days before the Basel match attracted great interest in a short time. Çavdaroğlu said, “Thanks to everyone who came to the match, they participated in the match. We loaded our toys on the truck. We loaded food products as well as toys. Today we set off. We will deliver these toys to Kahramanmaraş and its villages. We wanted it to be thought as if we were sending the collected toys to the martyr Eren Bülbül. We wrote a letter,” he said.
