Work smarter, not harder
Do you want to prevent you from scrubbing hard? Then start cleaning the grid when the barbecue is still warm. This way you can easily clean the grid with a steel brush or half a lemon on a fork. Warm dirt comes loose much faster than cooled fat. If you have a gas barbecue, it will be full after use, so that food scraps fully charged. Just wipe away and you’re done.

Hop, like that in the grass
If you have a garden, you can also throw the barbecue grille, if it has cooled, also in the grass. Leave it all night and you will see that the dew loosens the dirt and fat, so that you can wipe it off very easily in the morning.

Newspapers and garbage bags
If you don’t have grass in the neighborhood, you can lay your fat barbecue grille between old newspapers and wet it. This way the dirt lowers loose and it sticks to the newspapers. A garbage bag immediately soapy water and washing -up liquid also works great. Roast in it, close the bag well and let it soak for a few hours, or preferably even all night.
