When The Sophs sent out their first demos in 2024, it only took a day (!) for legendary indie label Rough Trade to get in touch.
People there were immediately impressed by the creativity, brutal honesty and creative drive of the musicians from Los Angeles. The first single “Sweat” was released in May 2025, which is reminiscent of The Strokes and Radiohead with its shrill vocals of pain.
The sextet is not a classic indie rock band. Ethan Ramon, Sam Yuh (keyboard), Austin Parker Jones (electric guitar), Seth Smades (acoustic guitar), Devin Russ (drums) and Cole Bobbitt (bass) love to experiment with genres and show explosive mood changes between loud and quiet.
After The Sophs have already taken America by storm, the shooting stars can also be discovered at concerts in Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and Cologne in April. Then they also play the songs from their upcoming EP “Goldstar”, which will be presented tour by ROLLING STONE.
