The location is great: right on the axis BER airport, Adlershof, city center. Here, in the Späthsfelde triangle in Treptow-Köpenick, the Berlin Senate wants to buy building land for a new residential quarter.
After all, 20 hectares already belong to the state of Berlin, but 31 hectares belong to the BBC tree nurseries. Preliminary investigations are now starting as to whether a climate-neutral neighborhood can be created.
Species and nature conservation, recreation and allotment gardens should be secured and improved.
Berlin is growing: the 16 future quarters that already exist were expanded a year ago to include Späthsfelde, Elisabeth-Aue, the central fairground, Tegel-Nord and the Marienhöfe.
