NBA star Lauri Markkanen, 25, ran more than 3,000 meters in Cooper’s test, reports Evening News.

Markkanen started his military service on Monday at Santahamina Sports School and was able to run the test in the first week.

Markkanen’s physical trainer Jani Parkkinen confirmed the reading in an interview with IS.

– It’s not quite exact, but close enough – more than three tons went, Parkkinen told IS about the information, according to which the exact result would have been 3,070 meters.

Markkanen, who is serving in the Guard’s Jääkäririkmenti, also got one day of fitness leave with his result.

Parkkinen also said that he would have been surprised if Markkanen had not broken 3,000 meters during the 12-minute run.

Markkanen told the media at a press conference on Monday that he is looking forward to completing his military service.

The 213-centimeter basketball player had received an extra-long bed, but someone had already managed to put their backpack on it on Monday.
