Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has decided to postpone the release date of her new Netflix series.
The reason for the decision is the destruction caused by the wildfires in California and the fact that Meghan is now focusing on helping the victims of the wildfires with her husband, Prince Harry.
Since last week, fierce wildfires have been raging in Meghan’s hometown of Los Angeles. At least 24 people have died and more than 150,000 people have been ordered to evacuate, says CNN.
Meghan’s new series With Love, Meghan contains plenty of references to the Duchess’s home state of California and her strong connection to it.
People– magazine says that the series was originally supposed to be released on Netflix on January 15. The series’ new release date was moved to March 4.

The show is filmed in Montecito, California, where Meghan and Harry live. However, the filming location is not the family’s own home, but another nearby mansion.
The program has been called “a tribute to the beauty of Southern California”. California is particularly meaningful to the Duchess. Meghan was born and raised in Los Angeles.
– I am grateful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in postponing the release. We are now focusing on helping people affected by the wildfires in my home state of California, Meghan said in a statement on Sunday.
Meghan and Harry have been helping people affected by wildfires in recent days. They helped distribute food aid at the premises of a local organization in Pasadena on Friday.
Meghan and Harry also opened the doors of their €28 million Montecinon mansion to victims of the fire. However, they only accommodate their evacuated friends and acquaintances in their home.
The couple’s Archewell Foundation is also exploring ways to support the community during the crisis. The organization is also looking for opportunities to organize mental health assistance for victims of wildfires.
