Law enforcement officers began conducting a prosecutor’s check after the incident with the Ural Airlines airliner, the press service of the Ural Transport Prosecutor’s Office reported.

According to the department, the commander of the aircraft operating flight U6-223 from Yekaterinburg to St. Petersburg made a decision to return to the airport of departure due to a technical malfunction – after takeoff, the airliner did not close the front landing gear.

The landing went well, there were six crew members and 158 passengers on board, including two children, none of the people were injured.

Earlier, the press service of the air carrier has already announced that passengers will be sent to the destination airport by a reserve plane.
