Guillermo Yanco, husband of Senator Patricia Bullrich, recently took to the stage in one of the plays that are part of the Buenos Aires theater season on Corrientes Avenue. At 81 years old, Yanco acts in comedy What are we?presented in the La Casona theaterin the heart of the Buenos Aires theater circuit.

The work, directed and starring Juan Acostacombines humor and reflection around the daily dilemmas of its characters. Yanco plays Edwarda building manager described as observant, curious and with “the soul of a detective and a noble heart,” who brings a practical and humorous perspective to the development of the plot.

Although his presence on stage may surprise those who know him primarily for his role as the partner of a high-profile political figure, theater is not new to Yanco. His acting debut dates back to 2013, when he participated in The eventa text by Julio Chavez directed by Luz Palazón, marking its entry into the independent theater field.

The comedy What are we? It was on the billboard for part of last season and this year it returned to the New La Casona Theater as part of the summer season, attracting the attention not only of the theater audience but also of figures from the political and cultural world. At a recent function, Yanco was accompanied by his wife, Patricia Bullrich, and the general secretary of the Presidency, Karina Mileialong with other officials and references.

In addition to his work as an actor in this comedy, Yanco has a diverse career: he is a mediating lawyer, he worked in the media hosting radio and television programs, he has held positions in the Buenos Aires Legislature and is vice president of the Buenos Aires Holocaust Museum.
