The Düsseldorf e-commerce group The Platform Group AG reacts to the increasingly international orientation of the group of companies with new structures and the expansion of the management team.

On Tuesday, the group announced the establishment of country companies in the USA and Switzerland. In addition, a new location was also opened in France about Joli Closet’s recently acquired participation. The next steps are already planned: the foundation of further country companies is planned for the third quarter to speed up international expansion.

The group is expanding its management team

Chief Platform Officer (CPO) Frederic from Borries explained the growth goals. “We set up an ambitious investment program to increase our international sales outside of the German -speaking countries from currently 22 percent to over 50 percent by the end of 2028,” he said in one statement. “We are developing into a significantly more international company with a growing focus on global markets.”

As part of the expansion strategy, the group of companies also expanded its management team: “Sven Schumann in the future is responsible for the strategic control and further development of the participation portfolio as Chief Portfolio Manager (CPM), while Sven Hülsenbeck as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) takes over the overall technological responsibility for platform architecture and IT infrastructure,” explained to the group. In the third quarter, “two more C level positions are to be filled to support the next phase of growth”.
