Dwingeloo has a new catering facility. In the former Planetron, the Phusis Foundation will soon offer visitors in the area a cup of coffee and a meal.
Hundreds of chairs are still in their packaging at the door. The spotlights are adjusted to color and intensity at the bar and the last bits of floor are laid before the mop goes over it. Tonight ‘Het huis van Drenthe’ will receive its first guests.
“It’s wonderful to get things done here with man and power,” says Bart de Bruin of the Phusis Foundation. His foundation will take care of the catering, cleaning and maintenance of the building. People with a distance to the labor market work at Phusis. They get daytime activities on location, although De Bruin does not really want to call it that. “What it’s about: being meaningful throughout the day.”
