Ten people have now officially died in the Chinese city of Shanghai as a result of the corona virus since the city went into lockdown at the end of March. On Monday, the city’s mayor reported the first three deaths. That was few compared to the average of 20,000 new infections per day. Seven more people died in the past 24 hours, all of them elderly with underlying conditions, local authorities said.
