The Dutch national team will play at the World Cup next summer against Japan, Tunisia and the winner of the play-offs between Ukraine, Sweden, Poland and Albania. This was announced at the Kennedy Center in Washington. The world championship will be held next year in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The Dutch national team will meet a number of well-known opponents. Japanese internationals Ayase Ueda, Ko Itakura, Tsuyoshi Watanabe, Koki Ogawa and Kodai Sano play for Dutch clubs in the Eredivisie. Hatem Trabelsi from Tunisia played for Ajax in the past.
The Dutch team is in group F and plays the group matches in the stadiums in Houston, Dallas, Kansas City or Monterrey in Mexico. The matches will be played on June 14, 20 and 25. The exact schedule will follow on Saturday during a FIFA show.
The Dutch national team will probably only stay in a base camp during the group stage of the Football World Cup. The Dutch team then flies from playing city to playing city.
