Tonight is the second edition of the Songfestival Drenthe: Pop in ‘t Plat. Ten artists will compete against each other from 8:30 PM with brand new songs in Drenthe.
Enjoy various music performances, from country, folk and bluegrass to yodelling and soul, in which the Drenthe language comes together. The broadcast can be followed live via TV Drenthe and online.
Songfestival Drenthe is held in the building of RTV Drenthe. People can vote for their favorite during the live show. In addition, there is a professional jury of 12 jury members, one from each municipality, who also judge the songs. The presentation is in the hands of Robbert Oosting and Robert Braam.
The winner receives a trophy and 1,000 euros in prize money to boost their musical career.
Pop in ‘t Plat is organized for the second time this year by RTV Drenthe and the Huus van de Taol, with support from the Province of Drenthe. The music festival is the successor to the Drèents Liedtiesfestival, the last edition of which took place in 2024.
