The “most death-defying” stunt of Tom Cruise’s career was canned on the very first day of filming – The reason is violent

Tom Cruise’s motorcycle stunt was really the case.

Tom Cruise was just seen at the premiere of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. PDO

In the future Mission: Impossible -sequel features Tom Cruise’s wild stunt, which has been described as the “most death-defying” of his career so far. In that stunt, Cruise rides a motorcycle down a mountain, jumps off the bike into a free fall, and finally opens a parachute.

Movie director Christopher McQuarrie tells the Empire publication that the life-threatening scene in question was filmed on the very first day of filming. There were practical and rather harsh-sounding reasons for this. The scene was wanted out immediately, in case Cruise was injured or, in the worst case, died during the filming of the scene. If something had happened, the production of the film wouldn’t have gone that far and so much money wouldn’t have been wasted.

Big money is involved in the film, as its budget is said to be more than 180 million euros.

Cruise himself has also spoken about his stunt and why it was filmed on the first day.

– We will find out if we continue with the film or not. Let’s find out on the first day! We will find out if we continue or if we have to make huge changes to the script, Cruise has told Entertainment Tonight.

Cruise has said that he was completely focused when the scene was filmed. Video footage of the filming was already shared last December. You can watch the video in the Twitter update shown below. If you don’t see the embed, you can watch the update from this link.
