Nashville Predators reported on their website having sent Juuso Pärssisen to the AHL.

The 22-year-old center has played 44 NHL games this season and scored 12 points (8+4). The youngster’s power statistic is six degrees below freezing.

Pärssis was expected to make a real breakthrough in Nashville’s top chains this season, but it has not been successful. The Finn’s season has been sticky from the start.

Last season, Pärssinen flashed his skills when he scored a handsome 25 (6+9) points in 45 matches. Many expected the pace to improve even more, but for some reason the striker’s foot has not moved this season at the pace of last season.

Pärssinen’s responsibility has waned drastically recently. Last week against the Arizona Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings, the Finn got only 10 and 11 minutes of ice time. In the previous game against Florida, he didn’t even fit into the lineup anymore.

In this light, farm commissioning cannot be considered a very big surprise.

The 191-centimeter and 96-kilogram center is Nashville’s own reservation for 2019. Pärssinen’s name was called in the seventh round of the reservation event with the number 210.
