The last Jaguar with a petrol engine rolls off the assembly lines in Solihull. Now the Gaydon house is ready to transition towards its all-electric future
Jaguar has produced its latest car powered by an internal combustion engine. It’s one F-Peacethe most popular model in the history of the English manufacturer, assembled from 2016 to today in more than 300,000 copies. And in particular, the latest to leave the Solihull production lines is its most extreme iteration, the Svr, with a supercharged V8 with 5 liters of displacement and 575 HP. Even the color is not random: it is the same shade of black that was chosen in 1974 for the last example of the E-Type, the coupé that established the fame of the Jaguar company throughout the world. This special F-Pace is not intended for sale, but will be included in the Jaguar Heritage Trusta collection in which the most significant cars of the brand are preserved.
Meaningful farewell
—
With the production of the last example of the Jaguar F-Pace, the company’s endothermic era comes to an end. From now on, in fact, all Gaydon creations will be offered exclusively with engines electricalstarting with the road-legal equivalent of the concept Type 00presented at Miami Art Week in December 2024. It will be a 5.40 meter ultra-luxury flagship with a list price of 120,000 euros, which, unlike the concept, will have a four-door configuration.
