The NFL Draft 2025 is right around the door. So time to clarify some important questions on the last few meters.

In large sport.de-Inexperten panel give the two ex-NFL professionals Björn Werner and Markus Kuhn, RTL presenter Florian Ambrosius as well as the RTL expert and former eleven quarters back Jan Weinreich before the great talent choice. The whole thing is completed by Sport.de editor Marcel Schmidt.

Björn Werner, Markus Kuhn (Live from Green Bay) and Jan Weinreich can also be seen live on Free TV in the night from Thursday to Friday when Nitro brings the first round of the drafts to the German living room. The whole thing is moderated by Florian Ambrosius. The rounds two and three are then available in the exclusive and free live stream RTL+* to see. Here, too, Jan Weinreich will be part of the game and support Jan Stecker. If you need even more analyzes, information and classification, you can of course also be in the live ticker sport.de track.

But now enough of the program information and into the questions “

Five questions about the NFL Draft 2025

What does the top 3 look like?

Björn Werner: Cam ward, Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter

Markus Kuhn: Cam ward, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter

Jan Weinreich: Cam ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter

Florian Ambrosius: Cam ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter

Marcel Schmidt: Cam ward, Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter

Does anyone pull Ipp talent Leander Wiegand in the draft? If so: who and when?

Björn Werner: No, unfortunately, it is not pulled in the draft. However, he then gets a place in a Practice Squad through the IPP and can recommend himself there.

Markus Kuhn: I don’t think it’s picked. But then he will definitely stay somewhere.

Jan Weinreich: Shortly before the end of the throat, he goes in front of the board. I’ll say that the Chargers pick him in round seven.

Florian Ambrosius: As beautiful as the story would be: I think Leander Wiegand is not driven. Of course, he has made a name for himself in the scouts in the past few weeks – especially with his incredible IPP Pro Day performance. Nevertheless: A franchise first has to get involved in the “project Leander Wiegand”. I see a very small chance in round 7, but that’s all the glass ball.

Marcel Schmidt: Even if he made aware of the bench press, it is not enough to be drafted. Shortly after the draft, however, the New England Patriots bring into the team, who were already successful with a German IPP player with Jakob Johnson.

How deep will Shedeur Sanders fall?

Björn Werner: I think he will fall very deep. I think he will go to the Pittsburgh Steelers at the earliest.

Markus Kuhn: I have it in my top 3, so the answer is obvious. He will not fall and go off the board in two positions.

Jan Weinreich: A team treads back into the first round and grabs Sanders a position in front of the Steelers on the 20th

Florian Ambrosius: The question could almost be today: How deep did Shedeur Sanders fall? The ongoing discussions about his arm strength, the arrogance said to him, plus great footsteps of a dad that has an opinion and not the smallest influence. The next chapter in a story is that Shedeur Sanders will not even show up in the NFL DRAFT Green Room that feels very strange to me overall. With the injury to Derek Carr, the door for New Orleans Saints and Shedeur Sanders is going well in position 9 in round 1. I personally would rather see him at the Steelers – behind Aaron Rodgers.

Marcel Schmidt: Even if the rumor mill has cooled down a bit, the New Orleans Saints Sanders will snap on the nine.

What would be the biggest surprise in the draft for you?

Björn Werner: With Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders there are two clear top QBs. If more than these two go off the board in the first round, I would be very surprised.

Markus Kuhn: Many see a case of Shedeur Sanders ahead, I don’t know. However, if he really fell, it would be very surprising for me.

Jan Weinreich: My surprise also has to do with Shedeur Sanders. It is almost certain that the Tennessee Titans take a quarterback. A huge surprise would of course be if you were taking Sanders instead of being.

Florian Ambrosius: This draft class is not that strong overall. With Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter and Ashton Jeanty you may only have three real Blue Chip Player this year. This constellation could lead to a really exciting and wild first round with many trade-up and trade-down scenarios and big surprises. For me, one of them would be that Ashton Jeanty goes to 3 to the Giants.

Marcel Schmidt: The quarterback class is certainly not outstanding, so it would be all the more surprising if a team would trade in the top 5 for a quarterback.

What is your hot take?

Björn Werner: Tetairoa McMillan from Arizona is considered to be a clearly best wide receiver in the draft (Travis Hunter, excluding hybrid times). My hot take is that McMillan will not be the first pure wide receiver to leave the board.

Markus Kuhn: Everyone talking almost exclusively about Cam Ward and Shedeut Sanders in terms of quarterbacks. I say that Jaxson Dart is the best quarterback in the draft in the long term.

Jan Weinreich: At the top, the quarterback class is anything but good this year. And yet as my hot take, I say that three quarterbacks go off the board in the top 10.

Florian Ambrosius: The Philadelphia Eagles Traden from 32 for Tight End Colston Loveland and snap the best pass catcher from this position group to compensate for a possible departure from Dallas Goedert.

Marcel Schmidt: At the start of the new league year in March, all teams still had their own draft pick. Nothing has changed so far. But as quiet as it was before, the wilder it will be during the draft, where we will see a number of records on “‘Live” trades within the first round.
