The largest flagship in Germany is coming to the Westfield Centro

Zara opens its largest flagship in the Westfield Centro shopping center in Oberhausen.

The Spanish clothing retailer is moving within the shopping center and doubling its store space to 6,000 square meters, real estate company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), the owner and operator of the shopping center, announced on Thursday. The opening is planned for the first half of 2025.

Extensive construction work is required for the move to the new, larger retail space on the ground floor of the shopping center. Zara will continue to operate its current store in Westfield Centro until the planned opening in over a year. The brand’s latest shop and design concept will also be implemented in the newly created space and a special focus will be placed on digital and omnichannel services, according to the statement.

“We are setting another highlight here with the largest Zara in Germany and are once again proving the attractiveness and appeal of the location for large international brands that realize their unique flagship formats and latest concepts here,” says Constantin Wiesmann, Director of Leasing Austria & Germany Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. “We are very excited about expanding our partnership with Inditex and looking forward to opening the store in the first half of 2025.”
