The Killers headlined the Sea.Hear.Now Festival on September 16th. They surprised everyone with a cover version of the Bruce Springsteen song “I’m On Fire”.

In Bruce Springsteen’s hometown of New Jersey, the Killers played a 19-song set – one of which was their first-ever cover of Springsteen’s hit “I’m On Fire.” The song directly followed the 2021 reissued version “A Dustland Fairytale,” which featured Springsteen as a featured guest. This live performance at the festival was her very own personal tribute to the rock icon.

Additionally, Killers frontman Brandon Flowers paid respect to Bruce Springsteen by performing a cover of “The Promised Land” with the Tangiers Blues Band. Already in 2022, the band honored Bruce Springsteen by bringing him on stage at their performance at Madison Square Garden.

Bruce Springsteen himself was supposed to continue touring in September 2023, but had to postpone these tour dates due to a stomach ulcer. New dates have not yet been announced. His statement: “Here at E Street we are heartbroken that we have to postpone these shows. First, we want to apologize to our fabulous fans in Philadelphia who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to catch up on these shows and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. We had a blast at our US shows and we’re looking forward to more great times ahead. We’ll be back soon.”
