The Jussi gala will be held in a new location next year.
The 2026 Jussi gala will be held at the Helsinki Messukeskus in the ballroom of the meeting wing.
The gala will take place on March 20, 2026. Like last year, Yellow Film & TV is responsible for its telecast, and the live broadcast will be seen on MTV Katsomo and MTV3 channel.
Chairman of Filmiaura’s board Emma Ilves states in the announcement that the change of the gala venue meets the development wishes of the membership. According to the release, they want to improve food service, and Messukeskus has decent kitchen facilities. The release states that Messukeskus also has comfortable extension rooms.
The Jussi gala has been held in Helsinki Cable Factory’s Merikaapelihalli almost every year since 2009. Only two years has the gala been held elsewhere: in 2016 it was organized at Yle’s studio house and in 2021 at Vantaa Airport Studios.
The 2025 Jussi candidates will be announced on Wednesday, January 28.
