La Pampa Cósmica by Pérez Celis is an immersive video installation inspired by the Pampas period of the Argentine plastic artist, produced by the Pérez Celis Foundation. This innovative and impressive proposal can be visited at the Palacio Libertad (former CCK), in the Immersive Room, from November 12 to December 14, on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 8 p.m.

The work proposes a sensory experience that reinterprets the landscapes, colors and symbols characteristic of that stage, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in a dialogue between painting, light and movement. The creators of the digital piece conceived this proposal as an astral journey—a capsule of the future—over the cosmic pampas landscape of Pérez Celis.

Inspired by that universe, they began a journey dialoguing with the material of their paintings, reinterpreted in projected pixels that expand and take over the immersive room. The starting point is light, which crosses space and time and is born in the solidity of the mural. Force Americaand then expand beyond pictorial contemplation.

The work of Pérez Celis’ Pampean period is a path begun more than fifty years ago and whose destiny remains open. This video installation represents a new impulse that updates its images from a technological perspective. As in a road moviethe destination is not necessarily a point of arrival, but rather the possibility of approaching something new to discover.

The music that accompanies the proposal sustains an expectant rhythm that guides the shared experience, opening a spatial narrative that multiplies points of view. Each viewer can choose where to view the work from and build their own relationship with the artist’s universe.

This journey is, above all, an invitation to question. It proposes multiple meanings and experiences without aspiring to a total truth, but rather to expand the possible perspectives.

This digital creation takes up the Pampas period of the 60s and 70s, when Pérez Celis declared:
“This work was born remembering one night, when lying on my stomach I discovered that we Argentines had the Universe in the Pampa itself, only in the distance that the eyes can see… in short, we Argentines living in La Pampa live in space.
