Ukraine has already been attacked, so the European Union (EU) should start discussing sanctions against Moscow. About it declared Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, Delfi reports.

“Ukraine has already been attacked, so we need to talk about sanctions now, without waiting for a military attack,” the minister said.

Landsbergis believes that Europe should not wait for the invasion of Russian troops, and possible retaliatory measures can be envisaged already now.

Earlier, on February 21, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba called on the European Union to impose at least separate sanctions against Russia. In his opinion, there are already sufficient grounds for this.

The minister indicated that the EU is ready to apply a full package of the most serious sanctions against Russia. According to him, there is an ongoing discussion about when this should happen.
