US foreign minister positive after peace talks with Ukraine: ‘We are getting closer to an agreement’

Donald Trump’s peace concept was discussed in Geneva, Switzerland on Sunday. Trump wants Russia and Ukraine to make peace and has a 28-point plan that states that Ukraine should never become a member of NATO, but that it will receive security guarantees. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was present at the conversation, as well as delegations from Ukraine and NATO countries France, Germany and England. Rubio is positive afterwards and sees great progress. Ukrainian negotiator Andriy Yermak also has confidence in the process. Initially, Ukraine was not at all positive about Trump’s plan. Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, saw it as a possible basis for achieving peace.
