Matthew Terrell Collins sr.58, and Matthew Terrell Collins Jr.29, died when the tree fell over their golf truck.
Father and son had gone to their golf car shelter for a fierce storm. They had driven a car under the tree, which turned out to be a fatal mistake. The tree broke and fell on their neck.
According to authorities, death occurred in an extremely rare way. Most commonly, deaths occur on the golf course if the lightning hits the tree and thus people.
The storm had completely surprised the father and son. The area had been promised violent air, but the storm began more suddenly than anyone expected.
