The Rasmus band revealed the sad news on Instagram at the end of October, that the band’s drummer from 1994-1999 Janne Heiskanen is dead. Heiskanen was 43 years old when he died.
– We received sad news last night: Janne Heiskanen passed away. Rest in peace, Janne, 1979-2022. You will live in our memories forever, The Rasmus wrote in his social media update.
Stop reported on Friday that Heiskanen died in October in a traffic accident in Pattaya, Thailand. According to the newspaper, Heiskanen was riding a scooter when he had an accident.
– Janne was spending the evening in a bar, and decided to go for a ride on a scooter. If he had worn a helmet, he would probably still be alive today, said a source interviewed by Seiska.
The surprising death news for The Rasmus band has been a big shock. In the 1990s, Heiskanen was strongly building the band’s then sound.
