The Finnish keeper known from the SM League shook his fists: “Like two bears”

A goalkeeper who plays in the Austrian Black Wings Linz team in the ICEHL Rasmus Tirronen the Bolzano guard got into a fist fight on Friday by Niklas Svedberg with.

The two started a fistfight in the center circle in the third period of the game.

– I saw Svedberg ready at the red line. Of course I wanted to accept the challenge, Tirronen recounted what happened.

The Pussarians first removed their shields, flippers and helmets before they began the twist. The dance session lasted ten seconds, until Svedberg would free himself from the Finn’s grip. Neither of them landed any decent blows.

– Not much happened. It was more like a hug between two bears, commented Tirronen.

The goalkeepers received five-minute penalties for fist fights.

Black Wings Linz won the game 5–2.

The ICEHL is Austria’s main league, where teams from Italy, Slovenia and Hungary also play. The championship is awarded to the best Austrian team and the winner of the entire ICEHL.

Tirronen is now playing his second season in Black Wings Linz and his third season in the ICEHL.

The 32-year-old goalkeeper is also remembered from the SM league in the ranks of TPS and Ässie.
