Decision made! Preining is the new DTM champion

DTM title decision in Sunday’s qualifying before the last race of the season in Hockenheim: “Grello” Porsche driver Thomas Preining secured pole position in 1:36.800, thereby destroying the title hopes of SSR Lamborghini driver Mirko Bortolotti, who had previously finished in 1:36.800. 36,806 and is starting the race from second place.

This means the Austrian has a 28-point lead in the championship – and a maximum of 25 points are up for grabs in the race.

Preining is the first Austrian DTM champion and also secured the first Porsche title in the traditional series.

Manthey EMA secured the team championship title on Saturday with a double success.

According to the revised Balance of Performance, HRT-Mercedes driver Luca Stolz came third on the starting grid, while Schubert-BMW driver Sheldon van der Linde came fourth.

Bernhard Porsche driver Laurin Heinrich and Emil Frey Ferrari driver Thierry Vermeulen drive off from the third row of the grid. The best Audi driver is Kelvin van der Linde in seventh place.
