Kylian Mbappe, who currently plays for Real Madrid, was involved in a lawsuit with his former club PSG during the transfer process. The final decision in the case followed closely by the world has been announced. The Paris Labor Court found the star football player right in the case filed due to a wage dispute and sentenced the Ligue 1 team to pay compensation. It was decided that PSG would pay approximately 60 million euros to Mbappe.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The 26-year-old star football player demanded a total of more than 260 million euros in compensation from his former club on 10 different issues, including unfair termination (44.6 million euros) and signing bonuses (40.4 million euros). PSG responded by demanding 440 million euros for its former captain.

Accusing his former football player of hiding his decision not to extend his contract for approximately 11 months between July 2022 and June 2023 and depriving his team of a lucrative transfer, PSG argued that if Mbappe went without a transfer in accordance with the agreement in the summer of 2023, he would have to give up some of the amounts he was supposed to receive at the end of the contract. Mbappe and those around him rejected the verbal agreement put forward by PSG.
