The F1 team AlphaTauri is now called Visa Cash App RB.
The American credit company Visa became the main partner of Red Bull and its sister team AlphaTauri.
Visa signed a multi-year cooperation agreement with Red Bull and AlphaTauri. The deal means that the Visa logo will be seen on the cars of both teams.
According to Motorsport The cooperation agreement between Visa and the teams covers the next 15 years. Cash App has already cooperated with Red Bull before.
The deal also means that Red Bull and AlphaTauri will start to cooperate even more closely on the commercial side. Visa Cash App RB’s name can also be seen on Red Bull’s Academy cars.
According to Motorsport, the representatives of Visa and Cash App met each other last year during the Las Vegas race at the initiative of AlphaTauri. Since then, the parties have worked closely together, which is now culminating in a new sponsor name.
The Italian team will announce the upcoming season’s car and its livery on February 8 in Las Vegas.
– It’s great to reveal our new identity and welcome new partners as we enter the next phase in the story of our F1 team, Chairman of Visa Cash App RB Peter Bayer said in the release.
Bayer continued that the team’s goal is to achieve better results in the F1 series and said that he and team manager Laurent Mekies have a “bold vision” for the team.
Visa Cash App AB was known as AlphaTauri for the previous four seasons. Earlier in the F1 series, Alfa Romeo said that it had changed its name to Stake F1.

AlphaTauri’s new name has been met with confusion.
Several social media users have guessed what “RB” means. Some have speculated that it means enraged bulls. Many considered it the worst in F1 history.
– Sorry, but I have to stop following you because I don’t want that name to appear on my screen, one responded to the team’s post on Instagram.
– Oh my God, no! Return back to AlphaTaur, the other manas.
– I thought there couldn’t be a worse name than Stake F1, the third wrote.

The season starts in just over a month
Visa Cash App RB, formerly known as Toro Rosso, has operated as Red Bull’s sister team in recent years and takes a significant number of parts for its car from the reigning manufacturer champion of the F1 series.
Last season was very challenging for the team and it was only eighth in the manufacturers’ points.
Long-time team manager Franz Tost was allowed to leave his position, and Ferrari’s former sporting director Mekies was hired in his place.
This season we will see the team’s car on the tracks Daniel Ricciardo34, and Japanese skier Yuki Tsunoda, 23.
The new F1 season kicks off with three days of testing on February 21 in Bahrain. The season officially starts on the same track, when the first race weekend of the season is raced in Bahrain at the turn of February and March.
