Javier Milei is a stubborn man. When even his people ask his sister Karina to run, beaten by the scandal of the coimas in disability, he does the opposite: far from hiding her -not talking about throwing her -he entered her as boss and as a face of the campaign. A risky play not only for what the surveys say, which gives the Secretary General of the Presidency a negative image close to 70 percent, but also because of the doubtful performance that she has been showing in front of the government’s proselytism for the October elections.

One more than forceful example was his presentation on Thursday 11 in Tucumán, in an act in which he barely managed to spin two minutes of speech: it was a messy pile of common places, hollow and furcious phrases that, by the grotesque, became viral in the networks. The dessert strawberry was when he thanked “all who work so that we have (sic) reached this moment.” And also, why not, when he spoke of the new Interior Minister, Lisandro Catalán, and said in a textual way: “Many of us work without perhaps that everyone knows it, but we all work for this project and, the truth, he (by Catalan) has worked tirelessly with everyone so that the things of Congress came out, so that we could have the base law and so that we could continue to continue (sic) Thank you, Lisandro. ”

If reading these parafadas produces a certain embarrassment of others, nor talk about what it is to listen to them. The president’s sister, obvious, is not up to the challenge, and that almost a year ago he has been training with a half coaching to be more loose and wise in his public appearances. The results were null.

“We will.” “Things of Congress.” “We could power.”

The same had already happened in the final stretch of the Buenos Aires campaign that ended in electoral beating. Then, Milei ignored those who quietly begged him that his sister was not part of the proselytizing movement after the coimagate exploded in his face. Not only did the president ignore: he hugged her in the closing ceremony in Moreno, burning all the political communication manuals that indicate that, when there is a problem, it is best to hide it. The president, on the other hand, illuminated him with reflectors.

The installation operation of his sister began when the government won the very distant Caba elections in April and left macrismo third in its own district. At the time of the celebrations, Milei leaned the figure of Karina and endorsed her as “the architect of triumph.” And he continued to celebrate it in his networks, where he immediately organized a virtual kisses of leaders and militants who surrendered to the genius of the “boss”, as the president calls his sister.

At that moment, it may be believed. If he even began to fantasize with his own electoral destination by 2027, either as head of the Buenos Aires government, either as a vice president in a Milei-Milei formula (the brother to the government, the sister to power).

Now, those dreams were very far. The government entered into crisis. And the face of that crisis, believe or not, is in charge of the campaign.
