Grönborg has previously coached Tre Kronor. Sweden won the man’s World Championship gold in 2017 and 2018. In addition, Grönborg was winning men’s World Cup gold as an assistant coach in 2013.
Grönborg’s first job in the Swedish Ice Hockey League lasted about a decade, after which he became a club coach.
Grönborg first worked for four seasons in Switzerland as the head coach of Zurich Lions. There is a third season in Tappara.
