The Dead South are going on tour in 2024 and are also coming to Germany for six dates. You can experience the Canadian folk-bluegrass band live in Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig, Cologne, Wiesbaden and Munich in May and June of next year. Tickets can be purchased here.

The quartet – made up of Nate Hilts, Scott Pringle, Danny Kenyon and Colton Crawford – joined forces in 2012 and released their debut album, Good Company, two years later. About themselves, the group says their “sound races like a train past polite definitions of acoustic music into the darker, louder spaces of the bluegrass world.” The musicians accompany the sometimes macabre stories of the songs with mandolin, cello and banjo.

The second part of her cover EP double pack “Easy Listening For Jerks” was released in 2022. The record features seven tracks and is inspired by the band’s own playlist that they listen to before their live shows – including songs like “People Are Strange”, “We Used to Vacation” and “Saturday Night”. It is also the Canadians’ first release on which all four members take turns singing.
