Breakdown again: Madonna disappoints fans with a shortened show

After starting late, the singer had to cut several songs from the setlist.

After the first show of her “Celebration” tour was a success – despite a small breakdown that stopped the show – many fans left Madonna’s second concert the following day with greater disappointment. The “Vogue” singer started her performance much later than announced – and as a result deleted some songs from the program.

According to reports from her fans, the 65-year-old arrived 35 minutes late and was then confronted with the O2 Arena’s strict 11 p.m. curfew. So the show had to end after the hit “Rain”, which should have been followed by “B**** I’m Madonna”, “Give Me All Your Luvin”, “Music” and “Celebration”. The latter is the title song of the current greatest hits tour.

Madonna’s fans took their frustrations out on social media. For example, you could read: “I paid a fortune to come to London, stay in a hotel and for the tickets. Really not good.”

Another attendee wrote: “I’m sorry but it’s only the second show of the tour and she’s cheating the audience out of a full performance by being late. This is unacceptable”.

“She raced through the songs, some of which were shorter than she probably intended. No explanation for the 20,000+ people waiting in the crowd,” tweeted another disappointed fan.

However, there has been no statement from the artist so far.
