The countdown is running – soon for Black Sabbath & Co.: Stage Time! Only a few moments until the metal event of the year in Villa Park in Birmingham-or should we say: the decade-takes place.
Black Sabbath celebrate her big stage party. The complete timetable was recently released. The concert can also be via stream attend.

The event begins with the entry at 12:30 p.m. German time. At 2:30 p.m. Mastodon open the program, followed by Rival Sons, Anthrax, Halestorm and Lamb of God – all with short sets. After that, Supergroup A, Alice in Chains, Gojira and other supergroups enter the stage. Pantera, tool and slayer follow before the headliner block begins in the evening.

From 8:21 p.m. German time, Guns N ‘Roses, followed by Metallica at 8:53 p.m., Ozzy Osbourne at 9:38 p.m. and Black Sabbath at 10:13 p.m. Black Sabbath’s appearance is set to 35 minutes. At 11:30 p.m. the event ends with the official Curfew.

Black Sabbath Stage Time: Fans disappointed with short seasons

However, many fans are disappointed with the limited season. Some bands only receive a short time window: Mastodon (15 minutes), Rival Sons (15 minutes) and Anthrax (14 minutes) are among the shortest slots. Halestorm, Lamb of God and Gojira also remain below the 20-minute mark.

The longest sets go – not surprisingly – to the headliners. Black Sabbath get the most playing time with 35 minutes, closely followed by Supergroup B with 40 minutes. Metallica, Guns N ‘Roses and Ozzy Osbourne each occur around 25 minutes.

Black Sabbath: Honor in advance
In the run -up to the show, Black Sabbath was also honored with the highest award in her hometown: the “Freedom of the City of Birmingham”. In a private ceremony on June 28, the Lord Mayor von Birmingham presented the four musicians – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – honor roles and medals. An appreciation of her legacy as the founder of the heavy metal and its contribution to the identity of the workers’ city of Birmingham.

Geezer Butler remembered the award: “We were often mocked because of our accent. But Birmingham always stood by us.” Ozzy Osbourne visibly moved: “My father was in debt at the time to buy me a microphone. I think he would be very proud today.”
