The candidate squad of the National Team for the Croatia and Latvia matches has been announced!



The squad of the National Football Team for the matches against Croatia and Latvia in the UEFA 2024 European Championship Qualifiers has been announced.


Vincenzo Montella, the new coach of the crescent-star team, has determined the first candidate squad.


Yukatel Adana Demirspor goalkeeper Ertaç Özbir and Juventus’ Kenan Yıldız were invited to the A National Team candidate squad for the first time.


According to the statement made by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), the candidate squads for the matches to be played away against Croatia on October 12 and against Latvia in Konya on October 15 are as follows:


Goalkeeper: Altay Bayındır (Manchester United), Doğan Alemdar (Troyes), Ertaç Özbir (Yukatel Adanademirspor), Uğurcan Çakır (Trabzonspor)


Defense: Ferdi Kadıoğlu (Fenerbahçe), Zeki Çelik (Roma), Abdülkerim Bardakçı (Galatasaray), Cenk Özkacar (Valencia), Kaan Ayhan (Galatasaray), Merih Demiral (Al-Ahli), Ozan Kabak (Hoffenheim), Samet Akaydın (Fenerbahçe ), Eren Elmalı (Trabzonspor), Rıdvan Yılmaz (Rangers)


Midfield: Berkan Kutlu (Genoa), Emre Akbaba (Yukatel Adana Demirspor), Hakan Çalhanoğlu (Inter), İsmail Yüksek (Fenerbahçe), Orkun Kökçü (Benfica), Salih Özcan (Borussia Dortmund)

The national team will gather at the Riva Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities on Sunday, October 8th. The Crescent-Stars will start their preparations for the Croatia match with training on Monday, October 9.
