RTL and Sky Germany are already looking for sports fans regarding live broadcasts from events. But what sports do the broadcasters show? An overview.

In order to compete with the US streaming platforms Netflix and Amazon Prime, the RTL Group wants to buy the Pay TV broadcaster Sky Germany. Both broadcasters already have a wide range of live broadcasts from sports events-users can look forward to a concentrated offer in the future. But which sports have so far been seen at RTL and which at Sky? T-online gives an overview.

Football fans also get their money’s worth at RTL because the broadcaster transfers the NFL games. Just like Ice hockey goods from the NHL, but there are no exclusive rights here. RTL also occasionally shows races of Formula 1, since Sky, as an exclusive right -wing owner, sold a sublicent to the Cologne privateer. Motorsport fans should be particularly happy due to the upcoming merger.

Tennis supporters can watch the most important tournaments below the Grand Slams at Sky and, for example, regularly follow the German tennis ace Alexander Zverev live. The broadcaster broadcasts over 80 tournaments a year, including all Masters and 500 tournaments as well as numerous 250 events.

A big plus from Sky: Until the 2028/29 season, the Pay TV broadcaster shows all Saturday games in the Bundesliga including top game and also all games of the 2nd Bundesliga as well as the relegation games and the Supercup. The Friday evening game at Sky will also be shown at Sky from August. If you want to follow the DFB Cup, you are just as right at the broadcaster based in Unterföhring.

If you are also interested in the English Premier League in addition to the German Oberhaus, you are in good hands with Sky. And what about golfans? Sky shows the four Majors of the men – the Masters in Augusta, the US Open, The Open Championship and the PGA Championship live and exclusive. Sky and RTL would have a lot of sport for the TV viewer at a merger.
