Bundesliga stadium is apparently getting a new name

Borussia Mönchengladbach has been playing at Borussia Park for more than 20 years. But in the future the stadium will apparently be called something different.
The “Fohlen” stadium has been called “Borussia-Park” since it opened in 2004. Now a change is coming: from the 2026/27 season, the energy service provider “Ista” is to join in as a name partner. The Bundesliga club has been working with the company in the area of sustainability since summer 2025. According to “Bild” information, around 4.5 million euros flow to Borussia every year.
The future name of the stadium has not yet been officially announced. According to the club, “Borussia-Park” will continue to be part of the new name.
The decision met with resistance in the fan scene. Supporters distributed leaflets in the stadium at the home game against FC Bayern on October 25th. It said, among other things: “The fact that such a decision has now apparently been made without discussing it with the base is a bigger alarm signal for us than 18th place in the table.”
