A Japanese animated film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle (Gekijô-ban Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Jô-hen, 2025) the age limit has been raised based on public feedback.

The previous age limit for the film was 12 years. Harmfulness was based on violence and anxiety. The National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI) says in its announcement that it has raised the age limit to 16 years.

The reason for raising the age limit is that the film contains a lot of fictitious, detailed and bloody violence. The violent violence that takes place in the context of manga animation also targets child characters.

The assessment of anxiety was influenced by the constant, intense threat of violence and death throughout the film, as well as the cycle of revenge caused by the violent deaths of family members.
