Chaiphum Sae-eung (63) was found by his cousin last Saturday. The murder monkey had scratched the Thai several times and bit off part of his leg. The man had probably been dead in his home for some time. The body was swollen and surrounded by a large pool of blood.

The man had apparently tried to fend off the monkey. He was found with a metal bar in his hand. According to local media, it is not the first time he has been attacked. Earlier this month, the same monkey also targeted him and bit him on the shoulder.

To their surprise, the officers saw that the perpetrator of the murder was still hanging around in the area. The macaque glared at the officers from one of the roof beams of the house.

Murderous monkey has been roaming around for a while

Villagers stated that the killer monkey had been aggressively roaming the area for some time. He previously attacked another family. They managed to chase him away.

The macaque breed is a major pest in Thailand and other Asian countries. At the beginning of last year, thousands of monkeys attacked the homes of residents of the Thai city of Lopburi.

Pig-tailed macaque is mainly found in Southeast Asia

The pig-tailed macaque is known for its distinctive, pig-like tail. The animal is mainly found in Southeast Asia. Males can grow up to 78 cm in length and weigh about 15 kg.

Local police only decided afterwards that the monkey could be shot. “The danger of him attacking more people is too great.”
