At FC Barcelona, the Clásico home game against Real Madrid is not only in focus on May 11th. As usual in previous years, the association wants to present a special jersey again in cooperation with main sponsor Spotify. This time Taylor Swift is to appear on the front – its name is currently being traded as the first option.
The music streaming service has been an official jersey sponsor of the top Spanish club since 2022. The partnership runs over four years and brings the club around 60 million euros annually – according to media reports, 57.5 million euros are guaranteed, while 2.5 million euros are considered possible bonus payments. Since then, the stadium has also operated under the name Spotify Camp Nou.
Especially with the so -called “special jerseys” as part of selected games, Spotify regularly focuses on international music sizes. So the professionals recently ran with the logo of the British band Coldplay, previously the emblem of the Rolling Stones was emblazoned on the jerseys. For the Clásico, Taylor Swift is now favorite, as the Catalan radio station “RAC1” reports.
Alternatives are singers Ed Sheeran or Travis Scott. A final agreement has so far been pending, since contractual details still have to be clarified. How the design with Swift should look concrete is currently also open.
The duel between Barça and Real Madrid is also important in terms of sport. At the last meeting in October, Barcelona won 4: 0. After that, coach Hansi Flick praised his team with the words: “We played a fantastic game and are proud of the team. It is very important that we got along without conceding concedent – here in Madrid against these strikers.”
