Taylor Swift sets record as artist with most number one LPs

She is also the only female pop star to have four LPs in the top 10 of the US album chart simultaneously.

With the release of SPEAK NOW (TAYLOR’S VERSION), Taylor Swift once again clinched number one on the US Billboard 200 album charts. It is the twelfth time that she has reached the top of the charts with a record. The singer is now officially the artist with the most number one albums in chart history – a title she previously shared with Barbra Streisand had to share.

That’s not the only record the musician has broken with the re-recording of her third studio album. Since 1966, Swift has become the first living artist to have four albums in the top 10 of the US album chart at the same time. She is also the first woman ever to achieve this.

The albums currently in the top 10 are FOLKLORE, LOVER, MIDNIGHTS and now SPEAK NOW (TAYLOR’S VERSION).

The success of the new recording comes less than a year after the singer released her new album MIDNIGHTS, which also topped the charts in a short space of time. In all, out of 716,000 copies sold in the US, over 500,000 have been distributed through traditional album sales. SPEAK NOW (TAYLOR’S VERSION) joins their other previously re-recorded albums RED (TAYLOR’S VERSION) and FEARLESS (TAYLOR’S VERSION), which also debuted at number one.

Taylor Swift is currently touring the United States with the Eras tour. In 2024 she will also come to Germany.
