Taylor Swift: Concerns about ticket prices near pre-sale

Only one day before the start of the presale, there is still little information on the pricing of the concert tickets.

In the summer of 2024, Taylor Swift will bring her “Eras” tour to Germany. The pop singer will give a total of seven concerts in three cities, including the additional concerts that have already been added due to high demand. Still, fans are worried they won’t get tickets.

To counter last year’s presale chaos in the US, the Eventim presale opens on July 12 at 10am. For this it is necessary to have previously registered with Eventim and to have been selected for presale. Fans who have been selected will receive an email with an individual access code no later than July 11th. In addition, black market trading is to be prevented by limiting the maximum number of tickets that one person can buy to four.

However, fans are not reassured by these measures. On the one hand, it is unclear which criteria determine whether one can participate in the presale. Others worry that due to prioritization after pre-sales, tickets will no longer be available.

In addition, there is little information about the specific ticket prices. These will only be revealed on the day of the presale. However, there is already speculation that there could have been extreme price increases in recent years. Eventim is not very transparent about this.

The time of day or the end device from which the Eventim site is visited can also lead to differences in ticket prices.

A look at Great Britain reveals what prices German fans can expect. While some UK fans complained that they didn’t even make it to the sale, others shared the various ticket price categories on Twitter. In Scotland, according to The Sun, seat prices range from £86 to £182 (€98 to €207), while VIP packages can cost up to £662 (€752). July 12 will show whether the prices for tickets in Germany will correspond to this.
