Sheep farm

Hosting an old sheep farm in Simo Ville32, is this season’s letter king.

– It was a surprise. I was hoping that there would be five to ten letters, but they turned out to be somewhat more, the sheep farmer is happy.

– I’ve been on Tinder and other things, but young women from my hometown tend to move to cities. The place of residence limits the search for a partner, the man justifies joining the program.

He is looking for a partner with whom he can share joys and sorrows. Starting your own family is also a dream here.

– I, on the other hand, get a calm but busy, versatile partner, Ville says.

He has hosted the heritage farm for seven years. There are fifteen hundred sheep and the number doubles in spring during lambing.

The sheep are basically working at Ville, because they have an important task in the landscaping work in the Merenkurku islands, where they are taken for the summer.

– I’ve even joked that, based on the number of employees, I’m running a small business, the countryman laughs.

In addition to the farm work, Ville is studying environmental engineering at the university. The environment and climate change interest the man, who also enjoys skiing and drone photography.

– My business is based on nature, so of course I hope for the same value base close to nature from my partner.

– But, for example, veganism is not an obstacle to a relationship! I do eat meat myself, including lamb, Ville sums up.

Sniffing strawberry girl

Owner of a strawberry farm near Kuopio in Vartiala Tarja54, is certainly one of the first to have found love online.

– It’s been about 25 years. The Internet was in its infancy and pictures had to be sent in an envelope. But I found an American man that I moved after. I lived in America for twenty years, Tarja says.

After his divorce, he returned to Finland five years ago, where his adult children had already moved.

Tarja has always wanted to live in the country, and when her parents planned to sell their summer place, she decided to move there.

– So I became a strawberry farmer. If someone had predicted this ten years ago, I probably would have laughed, says Tarja.

Strawberries keep her busy from April to October, but the busy woman doesn’t rest on her laurels in winter either. He is a recently graduated smoker! In America, Tarja also trained as an interior designer.

Maajussille was offered to participate in the bride program several times before the time was right.

– I don’t have any type of man or actual criteria. When you meet it, you know if it fits, Tarja says.

– But it must be said that men have changed in twenty years in Finland. They have become more open and now they know how to show their feelings, the returnee is happy.

Tarja is said to be a considerate and efficient partner who, despite her energy, also knows how to stop.

The guardian of Kaaliland

The same, 31, grows cabbage and barley in Nurmijärvi. He is looking for a partner to start a family with.

We are looking for a reliable woman who would also like to hustle on the farm, without becoming a nuisance.

– Forty kilometers is such a long distance that the wind has not blown anyone from Helsinki to the fields of Nurmijärvi. And the people of Helsinki don’t think a cabbage farmer is tough either, Sami laughs.

But he doesn’t really miss the women of the capital.

– A country girl is always a country girl! I’m not saying that a city dweller wouldn’t do, but you have to like working on a farm, Sami says diplomatically.

Maajussi’s life is busiest in the summer, but for him, the best time together with his partner would be to romp around in the cabbage patch.

Sami enjoys skiing, enduro and restoring old cars.

Parquet razor

Kalle, 48, owns a large family farm in Pöytä, where oats, rapeseed and peas are cultivated. Maajussi has rented most of the fields to others, but he still helps with the farm’s work.

In addition, Kalle works as an inspector. He also does import maintenance for combine harvesters.

A passionate dance enthusiast goes 2-3 times a week in the summer to put her feet up, a little less often in the winter, but then she attends classes.

– Even now I am going to a three-month dance course, the man says.

So it’s no surprise that Dance skill is at the top of Maajussi’s priority list when choosing a partner.

– But if you don’t already know how to dance, I can also teach. Or the other can go to the course. Yes, you quickly learn that, says Kalle.

However, he entered the program genuinely looking for a mistress, not just a dance partner.

– I think you get a partner who is fully involved in the story. I don’t present anything, I’m my authentic self, Kalle sums up.
