The German record champion had recently awarded Maurice Krattenmacher to a club in the 2nd Bundesliga. But now the 19-year-old comes
Maurice Krattenmacher returned to FC Bayern Munich earlier than planned. The 19-year-old offensive player, actually borrowed from second division relegated SSV Ulm until the end of June, is to move to the squad for the club World Cup at the German champion, as the club announced on Friday.
Krattenmacher moved to Munich from the then third division club SpVgg Unterhaching last summer and was awarded directly to the later second division relegated SSV Ulm for a season. Now FC Bayern is getting back born in Bad Aiblinger.
Sports director Christoph Freund was satisfied with Krattenmacher’s achievements: “Maurice Krattenmacher has developed very well at SSV Ulm as hoped. Now we will get it back to introduce him to our professional team at the club World Cup.” Even more: “He comes from the surrounding area of Munich and grew up here – our fans want such players. Maurice should gain experience in the USA for the first time over a longer period of time in our first team, after which we will discuss together with him what his next steps can look like.”
For Ulm, Krattenmacher played 33 competitive games in the past season, was in 24 of them in the starting eleven, scored three goals and prepared eight more. So far it has been used six times in the U20 of the DFB.
The return is made possible by an additional transfer window for the club World Cup participants. Between June 1st and June 10th, the clubs are allowed to register again. In addition to FC Bayern, Borussia Dortmund is also the second representative of the Bundesliga at the tournament in the USA. From June 15, the Munich team will meet Auckland City FC, Boca Juniors and Benfica Lisbon.
