Syrian leader signs the Constitution with a transition phase of five years under Islamist administration: “A new page in our history”

The Syrian interim president Ahmad al-Sharaa signed a temporary constitution on Thursday, which gives the country an Islamist administration during a five-year transition phase. “It is a new page in Syria’s history after more than a decade war,” Al-Sharaa said during a press conference in the presidential palace in Damascus.
