Syria has completed first bank transaction via Swift since the start of war in 2011

For the first time since the outbreak of the civil war in 2011, Syria carried out an international bank transaction through the international Swift system. It was a commercial transaction with a bank in Italy, the Governor of the Syrian Central Bank told Reuters news agency.
